Hi Listeners,
We have received lots of email, comments and voicemail asking when we will be back. The short answer is we don't know for sure. There is no major problem with our immediate family, as many of you have speculated, but as you know Chris' father has not been well and she has been spending time with him.
Each of our shows, in their current format, can take between 6-8 hours of our time. Starting from generating ideas, all the way to finally posting the show. Lately that time is better spent with our kids. We have contemplated ending the show, but we really don't want to. Chris and I have been discussing modifying the format to shorten the shows to get them out quicker. No matter what we do there will be at least one more show, if not many more, but we just need a little more time to figure it out. Chris is now out of school and the Little League season has just ended, so we now have a little more time and we plan to spend it figuring out the future of KWWL.
Thanks so much for your patience. We appreciate every one of you!
Mike

Hi there, Mike and Chris! My name is Eduardo and I'm writing from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
First of all, I am terribly sorry to hear about Chris' father situation, I do hope everything falls back in place soon.
I am also writing to beg you guys, please do not end your great show. I have been a fan since episode #1
Being a frequent listener of podcasts I think that KWWL is one of the best shows on the podosphere. I just love the come- as-you-are feeling of your show.
You see, though I am not a parent of even married, I happen to teach English as a foreign language here in Brazil, and my students, most of whom are parents themselves, just absolutely love listening to your show.
I make sure I expose my students to real-life English and your show has proved to be a great learning opportunity for them -- not to mention the helpful insight you guys offer.
They can really relate to your stories and keep asking me for more. I told them - and myself - they'll have to be patient for the time being.
So, I hope you guys will be able to figure out a way to put together more shows, no matter how long we listeners will have to wait for them!
In the meantime, best of luck with your family situation and keep smiling, you guys!

I am also sorry to hear about your father, Chris. I am a special ed teacher, and I know how hard it is to put everything in place. My children are now adults, and our dog, Zacchaeus, is almost 16. I am new to your podcasts, and just listened to #54 about your puppy and how you parent, do the hair, and the other child who did her own hair. You talked about independence.
My oldest was born brimming with her independence. She was born on her due date, and boy, was that ever an omen. She had her own ideas of what to wear, how to do things, in what order they should be done, etc. I picked my battles and gave her choices in appropriate matters. Wearing the striped top with the striped pants to play at the playground wasn't a biggie, but putting on the hat and gloves when it was well below 0 outside was a matter of safety. LOL!
Much as I love listening to your podcasts, you know what you need to do for your family. Family first. Cherish your father while he is with you.

I just listened to my first episode last night, and I just wanted to thank you for a great show and wish you well. Whether you return or not, I hope you are having a great summer!
If the show does end, it would be fitting that kids, wife, work and life were the reason you couldn't continue the show.
Please don't quite. I love your show. It is one of my favorites. But, reality is I, too, am a working parent with extended family obligations. So, you can only do what you can do. Take the summer off and pickup the show again when school starts.
Chris, Hope your dad gets better. Sorry to hear about his illness.
I miss you,
Shannon
I hope you come back! But I understand if you don't. But I hope you do! :-)
I just finished listening to all your podcasts from the beginning. Took me a few months but I did it! I loved it, thanks so much!
Hi Mike & Chris,
Please don't end the show!! It is the best podcast I have ever heard.
I would rather wait months in between shows until you have the time to do it than not have it at all.
Chris, I hope your father gets better.
We miss you!
Maybe one solution would be to put out three shows per month -- one with a book review, one with chit-chat about what's going on, and one with Mike's music recommendation? Then, you'd get to take off the fourth week of every month!
My daughter (Hannah), my son (Jackson), and my wife and I hope to have you back soon, one way or another. We love the show!

Aloha from hawaii. I just recently have been listening to your podcasts and I enjoy them. I am a mother of a 6 year old girl. Just a few days ago, I was doing my errands and was listening to the podcast about your Nike +. I thought that was great. I thought to my self that I do want to get fit, but I just don't have the energy to do it all the time. So today is saturday spet 13, and I went to my local Nike Dealer and bought the Nike + system, I have to get everything set up and I wil let you know what happens.
Also I hope that you guys do continue the show. I really enjoy the fact the as a husband and wife, you 2 have put together a great show.
Well, I just discovered your podcast and realized that you are on break. I hope you can return soon. I love what I have heard thus far, and it would be a bummer if you could not continue.
